Room charge was a surprise. :(First let me say that or server was friendly and the good was good.We called ahead to reserve their meeting room for a group of twenty five for lunch and nothing was said about there being a charge. After we had been there for half an hour with no service we went and got our server who promptly informed us that the room was $40 per hour unless we were eating then it was only $20. We were charged from the reservation time which included the half hour of waiting for the waitress. I don't understand why a table of twenty five that they are expecting who all order meals has to rent a table but a walk in table of two who just order coffee doesn't.

I've been here twice now and both times have been enjoyable for my food choices. My girlfriend had The Omelette and wasn't too happy with it but I've had the eggs benedict and a clubhouse and they both satisfied me.

Ample parking. Great service. Home cooked food. Breakfast all day. Finnish pancakes and other Finnish dishes. To die for liver and onions. Great for large groups. Child friendly/high chairs. Cheap prices.

Amazing food and staff are very nice! My favourite is the French toast and finn pancakes! A must go to for breakfast! Priced very reasonably so you don't break your bank! A thunderbay gem!

Wait times are ridiculous ! Seems to be racial motivated. White people who come after we got there were served before us. We ended up waiting over 30 minutes for our meal and it was cold and burnt around the edges of the pancakes. We had the finnish pancakes with strawberries and bacon and eggs. Quality of the restaurant and service has gone down big time !!

The food was good. They have changed their menus up a bit and offer some new items. However, I wish they still had actual home made hash browns instead of the batter-stylr ones that they offer now. The seasoning on them was good but it's not entirely the same.

I had not been there in 21 years so it has changed a lot but the quality of the breakfast has not. I had the Viking with ham, pancakes, eggs, homefries and toast. They serve a good quality ham. If you are looking for a quintessential Thunder Bay breakfast experience, go to the Scandinavian Home

Been a longtime since I was here so I wasn't expecting much.. but Bam Babe the best fries ever and the spicy chicken burger? Nailed it... still need to work on breakfast. Hate hate the sausage they serve and someone needs to learn how to make coffee.. sandy

The food, as usual, was generally good, however the waitress was rather snippy and impatient, like she had somewhere else she wanted to be. When it came time to pay our group waited at the cash register for almost 10 minutes to pay, even though every waitress working the floor looked over at us... and chose not to make the effort to come over.
